Found this post on how to disable it so you can't get annoyed when playing game:

Re: windows key
Just removing the key also works.

Re: windows key
I always import that registry key on a fresh install. I suppose I should add it as an option in GH but it's still going to require a reboot for changes to take effect.
Re: windows key
that key is not a problem with gta2.
you can run gta2 in window mode.

Re: windows key
I use windows button a lot.
WIN+D (classic, been in my use since win95 i think)
WIN+L (how could i live without this?)
WIN+R (maybe useless on vista/7 too)
WIN+F (useless on vista/7 ?)
WIN+TAB (only vista/7)

Hell no! Better solution would be to make a program that handles that Windows Key, and disables it. And this handling would be enabled ONLY when youre playing GTA2. Making features that fuck up the OS settings isnt a good idea, unless its a program dedicated for fucking up OS settings.Sektor wrote:I suppose I should add it as an option in GH but it's still going to require a reboot for changes to take effect.

Re: windows key
Most people I know never even use the Windows button, it just gets in the way. I do agree it would be best to only disable it during GTA2 for the few people who do use it.
Re: windows key
i really don't see a problem with the windows key. i also use it quite frequently even with gta running in window mode.
WIN+O for example. That opens a Directory Opus window.

Win+E opens Windows Explorer and I use that quite a bit.

Re: windows key
windows+d, I use that one also a lot.
would be nice if gh did have option to turn windows key off during playing gta2, but reboot is not a solution. it should only disable during playing, afterwards return to normal.

Re: windows key
Win key also opens Start menu, fwiw. Just realised I often push that with my left hand while my right hand moves the mouse, so it's already open when I get there.
