Greetings everyone.
I have thought of trying to create a custom GTA2 map for sometime. How do I start with this? I've tried the official map editor, but it seems really unusable with the tile menu blanking out. Has the "Epic Map Editor" gotten mature enough? If so, are there good tutorials how to use it?

Unfortunately the buggy official map editor is still the only one that can make a proper map. Epic is more a viewer than an editor but it is good for moving existing script objects.
There's are bmp2gmp and cmp2gmp tools but they only create very simple maps.

I can dig out my new map editor that was never published.
It kinda works but it depends what features you need.
Tell me more what you want to do and then I can say if its implemented.
I havent had time with it because im working with my YT channels and so on.. Life takes its own turns.
But im not abandoned this project. I still love GTA2 and anything related to it
