A bit of Youtube history

Post by B-$hep » 04 Jul 2019, 19:26

Hi all.
I was looking through my old dvd's/cd's and found some pics.
This is how YT looked like in 2010.

Looks so basic and "homemade".
I forgot that it had such look. Time passes quickly..

And yes, i like Schiller music!

albeit different but also a simple interface is https://invidio.us. It has become my daily driver for watching youtube videos and you can use the youtube to invidious userscript to automatically redirect videos and embeds.

Hi Elypter.

I had no idea about these places (your links).
Is this also faster than YT ?

YT is pretty slow, lots of unnecessary stuff.

occasionally the videos take a while to buffer but the site itself loads a lot faster. it is just a few kb and doesnt even require javascript to be turned on.
