I made it real 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64, but when I use it with my visual studio 2008 to make .exe I get a weird icon on 32x32 and 64x64 doesn't even show it. 16x16 looks normal. Weird.

Perhaps the .ico works for you...

use the canvas size method, dont resize it. that is as blurry as before... i can get it sharp if i use canvas size (centers image and pads it with extra pixels from top, bottom, left and right).

Edit: hmm, maybe the biggest image is 48x48 ? look how messed up it looks, seems like it resizes it down:

Perhaps this one is good. If not, I will go back to design table and get every pixel correct in Inkscape (vector version). Perhaps also change text, because editor is not very clear on side...

But try this one, it should work good now. Also rename the .exe after creating it, there is some weird windows bug to not update the icon of .exe here on Vista (perhaps also move .exe to other folder)

Cool video, again 8-)

Yeah, i know all the rendering bugs around there  , that one can be fixed with "BLENDMODE" command, and adjusting transparency clipping with Y/CTRL+Y (so the thick wires will look thinner)

This bug is caused by not sorting the rendered triangles, so it draws them in wrong order, good you reminded of that, i need to think if i add some depth sorting there or something

Yeah, me too xD sometimes i just notice ive been flying around for 30mins and doing no programming...

I was going to make some flying game there... to collect some items as fast as possible, and then watch replay of it etc... get highscores and so on

Btw, you can now lock the Z axis in free camera mode, type LOCKZP and you can use free camera mode to rotate (looks more like a car rotate in free camera mode ;) )

I gotta improve the "car mode" so it would check the ground altitude and move camera up / down depending on that...

Nice 8-) did you use the LOCKZP command so you cant go up/down ?

If you mean the bug that the fences disappears when you go near them, yeah thats also in my first post explained. Dont bother reporting rendering bugs anymore, since the rendering engine is going to get changed ;)

Cool videos, Razor. That's the same place everyone crashes when they are driving it properly. :D
TradeMark wrote:BenMillard, [...] create file "nocambox.txt" and if it doesnt fix your super low FPS, then try it with [....] "fullscreen.txt". Also remember to disable skybox, infinite water, map grids, left menu. just like last time you did.
Created both those files and used latest version. Attached some screenshots of the fullscreen mode.
  • My mouse cursor was not visible.
  • I was able to right-drag around the minimap.
  • Was extremely slow, much slower than 800x600 in a window.
  • Holding F does not display any debug info for me.
  • Forgot to try disabling all that other stuff. (I was cooking dinner at the same time and it didn't have much effect before now.)
TradeMark wrote:BenMillard, you should also disable mipmapping, [...] "nomipmap.txt" to fix that.
I'll try that and the disabling the other features at my next opportunity. (Usually no spare time at all during the working week for my main job and my other job will take up some of this weekend.)

I've made it crash a few times by right-clicking the taskbar item and selecting Close. I've included a screenshot of the generic error message. The debug.txt is also in the ZIP...it's a much longer file than before.

Try the "nocambox.txt" trick in windowed mode, then tell how high FPS you got.

Mouse cursor is not visible in fullscreen on anyone, its disabled because of some reasons (i think default windows cursor flashes on fullscreen).

I'm getting higher FPS but textures are not used. It's like when you install a GTA3 mod but forget the .txd file!

I thought it may have been because bil.sty wasn't in that folder. But even after I added it and launched TM Editor again, it's the same effect. Happens when opening original levels from ...\GTA2\data as well.

wut? that doesnt make any sense and should have nothing to do with "nocambox.txt". launch it again without doubleclicking mmp files.

try to confirm that is because of "nocambox.txt" by doing what i said above and then if it is still white textures, delete the .txt and launch again and if its still white textures youre out of GPU memory.

also try to press CTRL+1, CTRL+2, CTRL+3, CTRL+4 when you see white textures.

Also use always top-down angle when you are testing this FPS test.

You could get rid of MIS source requirements.
Just use my code to find the player coords directly from SCR files:

http://gtamp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=930#p930

I will tell you the offsets, if you are interested.

All i ask is that you credit me somewhere. It wasn't easy job to find this all.
