Hey everyone i finally decided to get back to GTA2.
WHY? I've got an XBOX so i was playing alot, and my stupid douche former friend changed my pass for both my email and my account here because he was pissed off at me. Today i went up to his house, punched him in the face, then stole my account back using cookies.
I'll stop working on Anywhere City Stories and all my current jobs at least for a while. Why? 2 things.
Firstly, i've lost all the files needed for that. I mean the files for the editor to edit the map. Maybe elypter has them because we were testing long ago.
Secondly, i've lost ALL my excitement at developing. While i was taking a break, i was developing with source, quake, goldsrc, unreal engine, IW engine, and i was even trying to learn C++. Well i failed at it lol it's just too complicatd for me. I've also been working with GTA2 Scripts, but i gave it up and went playing Black Ops. It was too much for me, so now i'll be just having fun.
I hope you guys still remeber me, i'd never quit GTA2 forever.
What happened to me while i was taking a break:
-I was playing a lot mostly on my XBOX, Cod, Bf, everything i could get.
-I was developing with other engines.
-I was taking a break from ACS. It has too much bugs to fix at the time for me.
-I've joined [NZP], the biggest CoD zombie clan, and i'm pretty much active there.
-I've got staff rights at AlterRev - former return of AlterIW (Free CoD6 Multiplayer), so i'm used to plan matches.
-I still had a bad feeling about you guys, I've suddenly left, so i need to get back here.
HUG ME - NAUW!!
I'm back!

Great news! Well done standing up for yourself. Bad friends are worse than enemies.

good to see you back.
which files do you mean exactly? the anywhere city stories .mis file? maybe i have it on another computer if it was included in the map archive.
btw: if you lost other files too there is always the option to use a file recovery tool. as long as the files have not been overwritten by other data they can be restored, even after deletion or disk formating

Re: I'm back!
One does not quit GTA2 but merely takes extended breaks from it.
Or so seems to be my case. :P
Perhaps a tip at developing stuff... Its alot more bearable if you do it in moderation, just play games, have hun, open up that editor and build stuff when inspiration strikes. And if it is of any interest it should keep drawing you back, pushing yourself to work on something instead probaly makes it not a worthwhile goal. Minor exception being pushing yourself to finish something thats close to being complete, there's always satisfaction in completing a large project.

Last time I took a 'break' from GTA2 I came back about 5 years later
The date I joined this forum is roughly the time I came back to GTA2 though knew about this forum long before that but for some reason never joined!
