Good morning,
I installed GTA2 and Game Hunter in Linux as per:
http://gta2.londonlight.org/howto-gta2-linux.php
...however when I run Game Hunter, nothing happens when I click Manager. I ran GTA2 Manager manually, and I get the error "No language files could be found". I just recently re-installed my Linux PC (had Debian Wheezy/7.x, now Jessie/8.0), and since my original wine folder was preserved, I found that the previous install the Manager button did nothing on the new system either. Please note this was all working on my previous setup (Debian Wheezy/7.x). All searches for that error (in GTA2 or wine context) comes up nothing. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Much appreciated.

does everything else work normally? singleplayer, multiplayer (with menu/with gh) and that paths in settings are still ok? maybe some abolute paths have been saved in the registry but are now different

Unfortunately GTA2 Manager has to be configured before even playing the game. This is where I am stuck.

what do you need to configure? gta should work out of the box. do you get an error message?

Re: GTA2 manager: "no language files could be found" on Jess
I get the "No language files could be found" error if I try to launch gta2manager from a different working folder than the one that actually contains the GTA2 files (like if I run "c:\games\gta2\gta2manager.exe" when I'm actually in "c:\". That's on Windows, I don't have Linux setup at the moment.
It sounds more like a Wine/GTA2 configuration problem than GTA2 Game Hunter problem but there are a few people who play on Linux that might be able to help.

Re: GTA2 manager: "no language files could be found" on Jess
Thanks Sektor, going to the right directory helped. However, I am now faced with another problem when I start GTA2 (manager or game):
joel@cybaryme:~/.wine/drive_c/games/GTA2$ wine32 gta2manager.exe
Segmentation fault
joel@cybaryme:~/.wine/drive_c/games/GTA2$ wine gta2.exe
Segmentation fault
joel@cybaryme:~/.wine/drive_c/games/GTA2$ wine dxdiag.exe
Segmentation fault
joel@cybaryme:~/.wine/drive_c/games/GTA2$ wine --version
wine-1.6.2
Because of the last error, (with DxDiag), the problem is not game related. I think it has to do with this:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=766028
Thanks again for the suggestions. Now off to shake another tree.
