Re: GTA2 Game Hunter - ideas and suggestions

It will stay in the players list. I was just considering removing it from the games list. Sorry, the Games list is the one I meant. I've edited that part of my message...might make more sense now. A tooltip is far less convenient than seeing the information at a glance. You have to move the mouse, ...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

Just tried out the minimap export, using File > Save > Minimap. Works great! I'm now using the image from your tool to promote MultiSlayer.

Might save a JPEG version and include that as slayer.jpg so GH 1.5 picks it up.

(EDIT) Can you render Dusk mode? :P

Re: GTA2 Game Hunter - ideas and suggestions

Lighting Modes Use of Dusk or Noon must be an individual choice. It can give an unfair advantage to make everyone use the same lighting mode. It also spoils the game if you want to play your game with certain settings but you were forced to use something different. Some levels have oppressively dar...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

Updated my graphics drivers from a 2004 release to the most recent, 2006 release. It's made a world of difference! I guess OpenGL support improved a lot during those 2 years. 8-) I'm consistently getting 10-20 FPS. The yellow performance text is now showing. (I turned off skybox so you can see it mo...

Re: Tiny Tiny Town Arena

A few other tiles were missing their collision properties. I've corrected all the tiles which have been reported. They were all from the brick-built central area.

Latest version has these fixes.

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

Using nocambox.txt seems to increase FPS a bit but I still have maximum CPU, even when idle. nocambox.txt it is stable "FPS: 001 / 002" when restored down. nocambox.txt it varies from "FPS: 001 / 002" to "FPS: 001 / 002" when restored down. also try v-sync (V) on/off an...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

OIC. Will try that now. (EDIT) Those button combinations don't do anything. You don't press Ctrl + Number to make those ones work, you just press Number . That's why I thought might have missed the F part. Anyway, after using Ctrl+F5 to change the draw distance mode, textures are still missing. Here...

Re: Hidden Surprise Revised

I tend to make the black one last in the levels I make. In DeCon Labs , all joiners are Zaibatsu and the arrow colour contrasts against the mostly sandy backgrounds. (By the time you get onto stairs there, no long-range attacks are possible so even then it is fine. If you change the .sty then one of...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

I'm getting higher FPS but textures are not used. It's like when you install a GTA3 mod but forget the .txd file! I thought it may have been because bil.sty wasn't in that folder. But even after I added it and launched TM Editor again, it's the same effect. Happens when opening original levels from ...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

Here are some screenshots of MultiSlayer City using TM's Editor. Purely to show off the draw distance. The big versions are 1600x1200 JPEG, about 300-500kB each. http://projectcerbera.com/gta/2/multislayer/25aerial-nw.jpg http://projectcerbera.com/gta/2/multislayer/25aerial-se.jpg http://projectcerb...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

Another small rendering bug: When the camera is in certain positions, tiles look like they do not join each other. DMA Editor gets this a lot. GTA2 sometimes lets you see between blocks if there is a wall under them. Such as the edges of the subway in MultiSlayer (the main city version) . Since I ha...

It's a very exciting development. Even more so now we got our grubby little mits on it! :D Don't have a nervous breakdown with all these bugfixes and releases, though. Pace yourself, walk around a nature reserve or something. Taking a break and returning with a clear head is often more productive th...

Re: audio edit

I increased the speed of GT-A1 by 200% and it sounded a bit like an F1 car. Editing existing sounds is best since they actually have a lot of detail and depth to them. I remember making car sounds for GTA1 by burbling, screeching and growling into a microphone. I think increased or decreased speed, ...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (only Zone Editor currently)

I read all the messages here and the .txt files in the download. The screenshots look fabulous...especially the Vedic Temple one. ;) Wait, zone areas can look pretty?! Who knew! Re: Tiny Tiny Town Arena

Add a weapon spawn near the double damage. Definitely! Added machine gun, so it's quite a worthwhile place to go even if you have weapons. Removed the 45 degree wall at (72,125). This opens up the hairpin after the tall ramp by Vehicle Bomb. It's still nice and tight but now more drivable. Also, co...
