Re: A couple of modding questions
I don't think it does either — I have a map where part of it has left-hand traffic, and the only part where it sometimes screws anything up is where it switches from left- to right-hand trafficBenMillard wrote:Maybe that confuses it.

Re: A couple of modding questions
I doubt it's anything to do with restart zones related to roads or traffic arrows, but perhaps it's related to zone info stuff (MAP_ZONE name = [...]). P.S. I assume theres no way of editing attributes of objects like weather they can be moved my a car or not? Nope, not that I know of at least ...

Yes, completely ignore the fact that you've just been hit by a deadly, explosive rocket

Re: Epic GTA2 Map Editor (0.6.6.6) Beta
I think he meant the traffic arrows won't be shown if you double click the .gmp file itself, but will do so if you open the map editor, click Open and then select the .gmp file

Re: GTA2 UFO
Perhaps a Molotov could be spawned at and dropped from the plane's location, it would ensure both the timing and the height of the explosion are correct, but it would remove the surprise when attacking other players from above

Re: GTA2 UFO
Cars can be declared with no Z level — I never did it like that but I assume it finds what the highest solid Z-level is at the given X and Y coordinates? Maybe someone could find out if there's a way to do the same with explosions!

Re: GTA2 UFO
Oh.
Y'all know what this means right?
Bomber aircrafts! Could be cool in, perhaps, a map with some kind of war setting
Edit: does it currently only explode at Z: 2.0? If so, can't it be made so it just explodes whatever the first solid Z level below the player is?

Re: GTA2 UFO
Can that be made so it could be triggered? E.g. when you "shoot" with one of those unused "weapons" (those blue letters), an explosion would happen at the lowest level below the vehicle, or just explode any car that may be below you.

Re: GTA2 UFO
I'm willing to see silenced rocket launchers Also boats. Maybe planes. And teleporting objects! Also detect if the player is near a certain object! And all sorts of different exciting stuff you can do with this. I fucking love you vike But why does it appear that every car you pass above explode ...

When i was like 5-6 years old i was in bus stop and bus was coming that was almost 70-80 m far away or something like that, i could perfectly see what bus is coming. The bus nr was very small. Now i see just 1 m and rest is slightly blurry, just cant see so perfectly clearly. 1m away from monitor ...

Re: WTF Where is Elypter?
Hurting eyes and all that stuff. Usually, screens shouldn't actually hurt or in any way damage your eyes. If they do, something's probably wrong. Really, the ground illuminated by the Sun outside is thousands of times brighter than a PC screen, and nobody says anything about you having to protect ...

I know it's probably just slang, but I don't think mercury was used in ambient temperature thermometers though, only body temperature thermometers. Again, I don't doubt it was/is used as a slang.

Re: Transcribing Lo-Fi FM Radio Station
"big blue [something]", I think he is saying "big blue wonder". Maybe, not sure Mercury is just with a small m, I think. Sure, if it refers to something in the lines of "the mercury levels in the waters are rising", but not if it for some reason refers to the planet ("the planet Mercury is rising ...
