Brief Description: ****************** One of the most famous cars ever made was the Delorean. Made in remarkably small numbers, the Delorean was seen to be ultimately stylish, with its flip-up doors adding to its reputation of being a somewhat concept car. Its sqare racey looks make it look good even in this day and age, where people prefer curves. *cough*. The Delorean, famous for its part in the Back to the Future trilogy as a cool speedy time machine, has many dedicated fans over the world. The Delorean is a replacement for the Michelli Roadster in the first city. Although this was quite a nice model, I thougt I would replace it with a more interesting one. Specification Changes: ********************** I wanted to use an existing palette so that the car could vary in colour but with the Delorean that would look dodgy. So you need to use its own pallete. Note that if you are using one of the other models (eg one with stripes) then you must use All Models.pal The Delorean is racey, and that its specs should be. If you want it to go as fast as it looks, open your GTA2 directory, open [DATA] and open nyc.gci in Notepad. Search for Michelli Roadster and paste this in under its name: 53 {model} 1 {turbo} 50 {value} 0 {pad} f14.500 {mass} f1.000 {front drive bias} f0.650 {front mass bias} f2.000 {brake friction} f0.250 {turn in} f0.400 {turn ratio} f1.250 {rear end stability} f0.150 {handbrake slide value} f0.580 {thrust} f0.330 {max_speed} f0.600 {anti strength} f0.120 {skid threshhold} f0.300 {gear1 multiplier} f0.400 {gear2 multiplier} f0.600 {gear3 multiplier} f0.245 {gear2 speed} f0.345 {gear3 speed} Extras: ******* Also included in this Delorean pack: 1) A Rally Edition, complete with Deltas and Palette 2) Other bodywork (eg stripes) complete with Palette (NO DELTAS) For more information see bottom... Installation Guide: ******************* STYed V1.4 is needed to install this car, you can download this program from http://www.i999.freeserve.co.uk/stuff_styed.htm . Once you have downloaded this program, open it up and follow these instructions carefully: 1) Click on File and then Open, then 'Cars Only'. Goto your GTA2 Data directory then open wil.sty and wait for it to load. 2) In the box with palletes in, choose on below 280. eg 300. Once the chosen one is highlighted, click File, thrn Import, then 'Import Pallette'. Click on Delorean.pal, located in the same directory as this readme. 2) Click on car48 in the column to the right. You should see a nice lookin peachy coloured car. 3) Click on File, then Import, then 'Import Image'. You will see the open dialog box. Goto the directory with this readme in it and click on Delorean.bmp. 4) Soon you will see a very cool lookin motor. If you dont like it then close STYed. If you do, then click on Edit then 'Image Properties'. In the box named 'Pallete', make sure it says 300 (or whatever number you put Delorean.pal into). 5) Almost there... goto View then 'Deltas'. A box will load, and you will see some very WRONG pictures. Click on 'Import Delta Set' and open the directory with this readme in. Then click on Delorean Deltas.bmp and soon you will see some pictures with only parts of my car in. Click close now. 6) All you have to do now is click File then Save, and as soon as thats done, open GTA2, start level 1 and yer off. By the way, the Michelli Roadster does not appear to often, so it may take a minute to find my brilliant car... ;) Additional Information: *********************** The Rally Edition included can be installed in a similar way to the above, where the pallete used is Delorean Rally.pal and the image and deltas are located in the Rally Edition subfolder. The alternative bodywork is located in the Other Bodywork subfolder. There is also a palette for any of these other models. However there are no deltas (you are free to make them if you want) so the doors, damage and lights will be the wrong colours. If you do make your own deltas send me a copy ;) Oh yeah...please dont rip this off, and if you distribute this car, make sure everything you got with it is there and unedited. Oh, and dont distribute any deltas you make without askin me!
