I pimped the Michelli Roadster, now how do I get it into the game?

Here are some pimps:

I'm also thinking about making a 'Pimp my ride, GTA2' program, for simply pimping, like stripes. I don't like those fake mod-cars that are online, it needs to look 'original'. :)

To put it in game, you need to use the original car color (brown), pimp it and then import it to the sty file, but you need to choose the correct brown palette, and you may create new deltas for the vehicle if needed (lights, dents and doors). Thats the "easy" way, theres another better way to do it and its explained here.

Thanks for the link and info. I pimped the Stinger car and it looks pretty sweet. :D

It has stripes and the back window it now one whole window and the car got side extension (kit).

How do you change the car name? I want to change it to something like "Stinger BX". Which stands for "Stinger Bee Extra". :P

Small problem is damage, I need to edit those images. Why are there actually that much delta's? What do they all do?

To change car name, you have to edit the GXT file you use (e.gxt for english, d for german, s for spanish, i for italian and f for french), find the car name and change it.

In most cars, the last deltas do nothing, theyre special deltas used in a few vehicles, the others are, respectively:
  • Rear left dent
  • Rear right dent
  • Front right dent
  • Front left dent
  • Roof dent (unused)
  • Tail light*
  • Head light*
  • Door (almost closed)*
  • Door (little open)*
  • Door (almost open)*
  • Door (open)*
*These deltas are automatically flipped in game

You can use the other deltas as:

Rear doors
Back doors
Pop up lights (They're animated)
Emergency lights
Special deltas (e.g. GT-A1 car)

Although these are mostly unused.

Ah, thanks.

What about making a 2 seater into a 3 seater car? Is that possible (with delta's also changed)?

What about car sound (engine)? Where can I find/change that?

You can change how many passengers a car can take in sty tool, again.

Open the sty file (e.g. bil.sty), click the car you want to add more seats to (e.g. the Stinger) then click Edit Car. Change "Passengers" to the value you want (driver seat isnt counted, so if you want to make the Stinger a 3 seats car, change that value to 2). You can change car sound on the SDT file (GTA2\data\Audio), but that will change the sound for ALL cars that use same engine sound.

What *.sty do multiplayer map use? Like tiny town?

It depends on the map. Downtown uses wil.sty, Residential uses ste.sty, Industrial uses bil.sty, Tiny Town uses bil.sty, Face Off uses ste.sty, and Hidden Surprise uses wil.sty. For other maps you must look at their respective MMP file (look at the Game Hunter's 'Create Game' window to know whats their mmp file) and find the STYFile = [Name].sty line.
