GTA 1 Web game early

I would say the Liberty City map is the best currently.
Very early but a lot of the core concepts are in. Missions are bugged at the moment.
I did sneak a helicopter in and it works! Helicopter spawned at tile(168,3) use spacebar to take off and land or use COPTER cheat. Top right middle near the river.
and the boat spawns at 74,110
Fun fact the helicopter graphic was in GTA 1 but didn't make it to final game, now I have it working! Flying is pretty fun
Basic missions in. Needs lots of work though...

Multiplayer.

Connecting
- Host generates a 5-char room code (e.g. A7Q4K) and shares it
- Other players enter the code to join via WebRTC
- Works over the internet (not just LAN) — NAT traversal via STUN
- Up to 32 players per lobby (soft cap, depends on host bandwidth)
Lobby
- Host picks the map — all 3 built-in cities (Liberty City, San Andreas, Vice City) plus any custom maps
- Host configures per-match settings, all clickable to cycle:
- Game mode
- Score limit (5–50 kills)
- Time limit (off / 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 minutes)
- Max players (4 / 8 / 16 / 32)
- Every player enters their own name
Game Modes
- Free For All — kill target or highest kills at timer
- Team Deathmatch — auto-balanced 2 teams, friendly fire off, team-colored nameplates
- Last Man Standing — no respawn, last alive wins the round
- Cops vs Robbers — cops start with pistol + squad car, robbers on foot with fists; cops win by eliminating all robbers, robbers win by surviving to the timer
King of the Hill - Hold a 3x3 gold-tinted zone alone to score
+1 second per second of solo control. First
to score limit (in seconds) wins; on timeout,
highest total wins. Combat works as in FFA.

GAMEPLAY
- Walk near any car and press F to enter
- Carjacking a traffic car kicks out the NPC driver (they survive)
- Door open/close sounds play when entering/exiting cars
- Pick up weapons by walking over pickup sprites on the road
- Police cars have flashing red/blue lights
- Police cars stop near you, officer exits and chases on foot
- Cops can pull you from your car and arrest you (BUSTED)
- BUSTED = respawn, lose weapons, wanted cleared (no life lost)
- WASTED = respawn at hospital, lose weapons, lose 1 life
- Run over pedestrians with vehicles at speed
- Cars take damage from crashes, bullets, and explosions
- Damaged cars change color: normal > yellow > orange > red flicker
- Destroyed cars show burnt wreck, fade after 60 seconds
- Dead bodies stay on ground with blood, fade after 15 seconds
- Punched NPCs fall down with knockdown animation, recover after 3s
- 3 punches kill an NPC
- Speed shown in MPH on HUD when driving
- Train loops around Liberty City, stops at 8 stations
- Blue dot on minimap shows train position
- 3,015 map objects (trees, cones, bins, phones) at authentic positions
- Trees render above player (walk/drive under them)
- Signs and elevated structures render above player
- Full Liberty City map (256x256 tiles) fully explorable

MULTIPLAYER
Click the orange MULTIPLAYER button on the city-select screen.
Host a game to get a 5-character room code; share it with friends
to join. Up to 32 players over WebRTC peer-to-peer (PeerJS).
Lobby controls
Click MAP / MODE / SCORE LIMIT / TIME LIMIT / MAX PLAYERS to
cycle (host only).
MY COLOR cycles your ped tint (everyone can pick their own).
Y or / - Open lobby chat. Enter to send, Esc to cancel.
START GAME - Host only.
In-match keyboard
All single-player on-foot / vehicle / weapon controls work as
normal, plus:
Y or / - Open chat input. Enter to send, Esc to cancel.
Tab (hold) - Show the live scoreboard (kills, deaths, ping).
On match end, the scoreboard pins open.
F - Enter / exit a vehicle. In MP this also lets
you hijack passing traffic cars (host converts
the NPC car into a player-drivable vehicle).
Game modes
Free For All - Everyone vs everyone. First to score limit or
highest at timer wins.
Team Deathmatch - Auto-balanced 2 teams. Friendly fire is off.
Blue / red tagged nameplates.
Last Man Standing - No respawn. Last alive wins the round.
Cops vs Robbers - Cops start with a pistol + squad car.
Robbers on foot with fists. Cops win by
eliminating all robbers; robbers win by
surviving to the timer.
King of the Hill - Hold a 3x3 gold-tinted zone alone to score
+1 second per second of solo control. First
to score limit (in seconds) wins; on timeout,
highest total wins. Combat works as in FFA.
HUD additions in MP
- Match timer pill (top-center): counts DOWN if a time limit is
set (white > yellow under 30s > red under 10s), else counts up.
- Floating name + HP bar above every other player. While driving,
the name/HP rides above the car instead of the ped.
- "Press Y to chat" hint at bottom-left, with the chat log above.
- Match-over overlay with the winner and a green "RETURN TO
LOBBY" button (host only).
Other things to know
- No cheats in MP. The cheat box is disabled the whole session.
- Connection lost? An auto-reconnect overlay tries 6 times over
~18 seconds before bailing to the main menu.
- Random parked cars are NOT pre-spawned in MP — every player
vehicle comes from hijacking traffic (or the cop starter cars
in Cops vs Robbers).
