A bit offtopic.

It's unlikely that R* or Take2 will release any sources.
If you search on G00gle there is a huge amount of news how pissed off Take2 was when they saw the RE3 project. They took down github of this project, then latest news was that they want to sue the RE3 team members for rev. engineering their games.
That's the way it is.
Although these are still all up on G00gle and with different name and still getting developed lol.
yes, yes they super hate map mods but i dont think they will go further with this anymore because they got so much hate over this act plus hate on their "Definitive Edition" that i think they had enough.
about gta2 source, i dont really care about it, they can have that 20+ year old source code for them selves. for 2022 standards this game must be rewritten from scratch including everything from eveything because its so out of date plus im pretty sure the source code is very limited the way it is now without rewriting most of it for multiplayer use or better graphics/shaders
btw in fact i know some parts of the game are made of hacks, car collision are very spaghetti coded which it was must be a problem back in 1999 to code vehicle collision , i mean m pretty sure i can do it better now in a few hrs of work

i made some progress on lighting and it starts to fell kinda wired because its not how you imagine gta's 2 lighting, however its not looking bad but it just seems to be odd maybe because some lights are still missing and it doesnt have the "complete" look yet

something pretty bad happened, i lost all server files except for map source files
i lost a complete working non bugs server of gta vc mod for fivem and of course gta2 server

its not a big deal because i worked very little on gta 2 server files but about gta vc i think its gone for ever
however i will try to not delay gta 2 mod too much

hi again, the end of the year arrives and i promised my delivery of this cool mod in a finished state, however sadly.. i havnt done any progress since the last images i uploaded. i was busy with my own things and few months ago one of my ram sticks went bad and currently my pc runs on 4gb ram only, running softwares like 3dsmax and such isnt reccomanded even to try with 4gb ram.

it doesnt say that this mod is dead but its still "in progress", at least in my own mind but not in reality haha. i will get it done someday for sure..

It's ok, big projects take a lot of time, just look at my game making slow progress since 2003 :D
