GTA2 Definitive Edition mod progress

Hello, Im slowly making my way to create a GTA2 "Definitive edition" version on Fivem-aka GTAV multiplayer
it comes out together pretty well and heres the progress of the mod
-Mapping done for about 80% (Little things left to finish)
-Camera related stuff is done
-Aiming is 95% done (Possible to move the aim up and down by moving the mouse, Once you press A/D keys the aim resets it self back to normal height)
-Creation of original GTA2 cars needs to be done(I might not do it at all, Currently Im not sure if its a good idea because GTAV cars looking kinda good)
-Traffic+Peds aka nav meshes needs to be created
-Night lights must be added to the map! (Night lights be turning on automatically by time)
-HUD creation
-Weapon spawns same as in GTA2 with BIG icons
-Peds+Player movement is almost done
-Vehicle handling
-Possibly more things I forgot about

Great work, I love seeing the GTAV lighting on the GTA2 city.

Holly cheese, this is looking very nice! This is how I imagined a remaster would look like.

Since this is on Fivem, it means no plans for missions?

So this is based on GTA5 engine completely?
This is closed source project or you make it completely public free?
So we can look inside?

first i dont plan on making missions, the whole point of this mod is to play gta2 online with 1000 players max without any bugs or problems as fivem supports it. when ill finish making the gameplay(controls, handling and such) it will be necessary to add some "missions" or stuff like that to keep players busy on the server. i mean gta2 missions are very very simple, when i think about it now, its just go there, steal a car and bring it to somewhere, kill someone.. it wouldnt be so hard to replicate it in fivem, not at all. but im kinda far away from that point as of now because sometimes i just dont have motivation to keep working on it and especially when i work on other stuff too.
about the sourcecode, i dont think so, just because its a server with mixed together addons and maps theres no point of releasing the code. i sure release it only if nobody will play the server or only after long time, just because i dont want for people to dupe my own server while its still running
