Does anybody know if they exist and perhaps want to share them?
In the "frontend" folder of GTA2 there are also some images, does anybody know if there are more of these?
Perhaps Playstation version has better images/movies/music?

The v10.3 patch installer has some images.
The Playstation movie is longer than the PC movie but I don't think it's higher quality (I don't have it anymore to compare). The Dreamcast version might be better but again I don't have it. The highest quality version of the intro movie used to be on GTA2.com but I just noticed it says no longer available.

The quality isn't great, I'm not sure what source they used for that.
As for cars, I believe it knows not to colour the windscreen since it's not the same colour as the rest of the car.

take2games.com still has the movie split into quicktime mov files. It's still not great quality but probably the best around unless Rockstar releases something new.
Thanks. I did not know about v10.3 patch setup. I already got the quicktime movies and they are indeed not so great quality.
Do other patches or installers have nice images?

The car colours change with the palettes (you can export palettes with STYed only, they are saved as .pal files). If you want to make a car with different colours for GTA2, you first need to change its hue/saturation to look like the color in one of the car remaps palette, import the palette to the image, import the car with sty tool and change the palette the sprite uses to the palette you imported to the image. Check this page for more detailed information: http://en.wikigta.org/wiki/Creating_vehicles_%28GTA2%29. The window colours dont change because usually the car remaps palettes have some other colours that can be used for other car parts, but if the palette doesnt contain that colour, it may change.

When you complete the game you'll get a screen that consists of nine small images, one of them being the image I posted above. I don't have any more.
I used to have a large image of the assassin from GTA2: The Movie, but I can't find it anymore.

Hey Razor, I actually made that image. It clearly shows the 8 (or 9) images that are somewhere (not in GTA2?) available as bigger.
I hope someone knows where to get them. I would love to have the assassin one or one of the other 8 (or 9) (the two at the left are the nicest).

I also found a video download, but the quality is not that amazing...
I found the official pc intro movie (on an old GTA2 CD), which shows a short version of the action in the youtube video's. It's in the .bik format (you need RAD video tools to view it).
It's around 25 MB, perhaps I could upload it when someone needs it.
edit: haha, the cd contains video drivers for Ati, Nvidia, 3Dfx and Matrox. Very old stuff.
