You can get "Busted!" message in GTA2 without even having a wanted level. Just find a ped cop and punch him in his back, the more you hold the punch button, more health the cop will take from you when he rises up again, do it till you get busted.

I did know that you can hit him from behind and he does not attack you. You can also drive car over him, but just on time jump out.

I knew this could happen but funny to see a video of it.

I think it's funny that cops don't react to you trying to steal their car unless you succeed.

Or that your gang members do nothing when a green asshole steels your car with you and the gang in it

If this is true, and if it works outside the bug you presented, then it could be useful for making fragrolls a bit less difficult to pull off. When attempting a fragroll, your enemy should have full health (to burn longest) and you should have as little health as possible (to die quick) when the cops punch you. If what you wrote can be used in this situation, it would eliminate the need for having low health.
