i think nobody can answer you this precisely. what is a map? a mmp file, a unique mmp file(with or without redundant scr files), a gmp file with multiple script modes(or sub modes like rocket chamber), an archive and when is a map just a derivation of an existing one?

78 .gmp files currently installed in my data folder.

There are some more in my folder for collecting mods. Still, probably less than 100 in total.

Good you made the poll so we cant re-vote, now when i know the real method (counting GMP files), i would have to change my vote, but i cant.

While i counted my GMP files, i noticed there were 1.4GB of temporary gmp files (extensions .001, .002, .003 etc).

Anyways, around 300 GMP files here. (a lot of my test maps/duplicates so i reduced 75 from that count).

It should allow revoting now. Those backup gmp files are created by the official map editor. You can set how often it makes backups in the options. I usually set it to 0 and make my own backups but then I never made a huge map.

If we are just counting GMP files, I have 287 in my gta2\data folder and exactly 111 still contain the uncompressed map.

multiplayer pakx has 202 gmp files. this does not count the original maps, the maps from ben and a few from pyro and that's only the released maps. it would be over 300 if i counted everything.

I'm sure. I downloaded 416 maps on different GTA 2 map sites and forums. I made 120 of each others.

i've got all maps on the forum. It was 478 unless i count wrong

There are 603 ".gmp" files in my data folder now. About 200 of them is mine. I'm not counted my files completely.
