Illegal Objects

Post by Galactic Boy »

Is there a person who knows why that objects CROSS, FBI_BLOCK, GRAVE and the weapon MICROVAVE aren't recognised by the script compiler?

I can only assume they're unusable leftovers from what Rockstar wanted to implement into GTA2 but didnt have the time/budget for. The items you mentioned where probaly never completed at all and cant be used, nor completed due to the lack of source code for GTA2. There's a few items that have been completed but never used in the official maps like the football, for example.

You should probaly just avoid using those kinds of items that either crash the game or just dont compile at all.

I think FBI_BLOCK was implemented in game, but it just gives error message on compiler. Try modifying the SCR file manually in hex-editor, and put it as OBJ_DATA or something. You can see the OBJ_DATA formats in my GTA2 Script Decompiler source code here: http://gtamp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=447

I once played around with those, but cant really remember the results.

HxD is good hex editor.
