Prior to GTA IV’s release, there was a massive GTA IV mural on some Downtown Los Angeles buildings. Those same buildings are now displaying a huge Chinatown Wars advertisement.

In the town of South Park tonight, the economy went bad and part of the episode concentrated on how the ailing economy keeps Cartman from getting something he wants…a copy of GTA: Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS. Here are a few select quotes I transcribed:
Cartman: "Of all the times for people to decide to stop buying things, it had to be the week that Grand Theft Auto IV comes out for Nintendo DS!"
Later on in the episode:
Cartman: "I had a dream last night. I was in a field, and I had Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars right next to me. But then the sky went black and…Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars just melted in my hands." (Cartman begins to cry.)
And later when Randy and others are meeting to try to come up with solutions, Cartman comes in and offers to help:
Cartman: "Did somebody say ‘catch a Jew?’ The person you’re after might be hard to get, but I can bring him to you. And all I want in return…is Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for handheld Nintendo DS."
The episode is called "Margaritaville" and will play on Comedy Central several more times this week.
Rockstar gave out various promotional items to the media, game stores and Nintendo stores. If you weren’t lucky enough to get some of this swag for free then you might be able to find some on eBay but it seems to be very rare.
Alexander Blade from gtaforums discovered the cheats and they can be viewed on the Chinatown Wars cheat page.

The game has been sold early at some retailers. It will officially be released in North American on the 17th, Australia on the 19th and Europe on the 20th of March.
The third game Feature Clip focuses on the drug trade in Liberty City. “Dealing & Delivering” shows you the basics on how to become a street pharmacist with the aid of Chinatown Wars’ unique DS stylus-based gameplay features.
edit: The Dealing & Delivering video was removed for some reason. You can still view it on YouTube.
IGN’s Craig Harris has posted an interview with Rockstar Leeds President Gordon Hall, about the development of Chinatown Wars.
Even before we wrote one line of code we had laid in stone that the game MUST run at 30 frames per second. What we did do many, many times is go over the code, hand optimising every line we could. The amount of raw machine code in this game is just unheard of nowadays. We were busy throwing away page after page of traditional code in favour of the machine’s raw assembly language.
