i saw a youtube video of a recorded game recently and i noticed that is was lagging. i know it slows down dramatically when running gta in multiple instances and this could be reduced by using multicore systems. But although this game ran relatively fast it had some jerks.
In that case it is worth considering to run it on linux. On my PC gta runs much smoother (and often even faster) than on windows. It is still much slower with multiple players than with one but i did not notice any jerks which is very desirable for recording videos.

Elypter, GTA2 runs smooth for me as long as I'm replaying game between 2 players. I believe that you are talking about a video which was recorded by Kamil who tested 4 players replay. I think that the main problem is that the game desynces after a few minutes without any reason.

I can make it support Win7, i know Sektor had some troubles with it on 7.
We had a long chat about it.

I think i already know what's the problem. Obvious Win7.

kamil used software with forced 7 fps so it wasnt gta fault
