MultiSlayer was converted to CS:GO

I didn't know this had been done. Was trying to get a username for GTA5 on PC via Steam but found this: Vacant City, a conversion of MultiSlayer City into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Based on a custom GTA2 map called "Multislayer" made by "BenMillard".
All credit for textures and level design goes to him!

It's a work in progress although I probably won't waste any more time on it as it is clear that it can't become what I had in mind (open world map with drivable and self-driving vehicles).
It was published 4 years ago.

Deadline to transfer to GTA5 is 6 March 2017 by the way!

Cool that someone would want to do that but they really should've notified you about it. I still have no plans on ever playing CS:GO.

The GTA V character migration deadline sucks but it's one way to motivate me to upgrade to current gen. I really should've upgraded long ago, so many features I'm missing out on. The main reason for disabling migration would be to stop all the hacked characters being imported and sold on the current gen market.

That's great news Sektor! Just bought GTA5 on Steam for £20 it's half price until 21 February 2017. TheBenMillard (or BenMillard by URL) is me on Steam.

Feeling good about it. R* could have kept the price high as the deadline forces the purchase. Letting the price drop by so much is a positive move, I think. Glad I didn't triple-purchase it, like many might end up doing.

£13 for GTA$8,000,000 is a depressingly popular option. I've got GTA$36,000,000 from PS3 through legit effort and will now have things worth buying.

Thinking of trying to make a CJ character. Claude got to level 280. Then I made Lara Croft (by accident) and she got over level 450. CJ in San Andreas working up from street thug to stilt house kingpin would make GTA Online feel fresh again. (Although he'll have access to the GTA$35M from day one, I could limit my spending.)

Playing story mode again in first person with mouse and keyboard (and maybe controller for driving) should be a worthwhile replay experience, too.

Not been on GTA V in a while though I did try out the latest update with the car garage and would like to try the Rocket Voltic if I could justify the cost! I think my character is level 135 or something and bought most of the special vehicles when they've been on offer.

Been on Steam for quite some time and you can find me under the name Pyroteknics and the same for Rockstar Social Club.

Awesome! Added!

Sadly it seems only characters 1 and 2 are available, even on 'next gen'? Claude is now based on real Claude and I tried to rebuild Lara because she looked totally wrong. Still not right but might pass for a Lara in 40's.

I'm Wormetti on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/wormetti
Sektor on socialclub: https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/sektor

I only just bought GTA V PC version yesterday. It was no longer on sale on Steam, dick move not running sale until after March 6th but I guess I had plenty of time to buy it earlier.

I tried to buy it on humblebundle since it was slightly cheaper than Rockstar Warehouse version and 5% went to charity but their site kept rejecting my order. I considered buying from a key reseller since they were cheapest but I didn't really trust them and didn't want to risk it with the deadline approaching, so I bought directly from Rockstar Warehouse for $52 AUD / £30. I'd prefer Steam version but it was like $40 extra and didn't include $1.25m bonus like the Warehouse and humblebundle versions.

I thought Rockstar Warehouse would send me the key instantly but it actually took about 12 hours, so looks like they process them manually, lucky they work on weekends. I was a bit concerned the download might not finish before the deadline, especially since it was 68GB but it downloaded in under 3 hours.

The video card on my PC doesn't even have enough RAM to run the game at 1080P but at least it still runs and I was able to import my character. Time to get a new video card.

Steam included the bonus money for transferring character and I had $38m anyway. The social platform is fantastic; very much like the blue phase a GTazz or the Mission Scripting Tutorial subsite. (Going back some, huh?)

Then again, you can do everything you actually need via the Social Club overlay or in-game Menu. (Joining friends, inviting friends to session, seeing who is online, sharing photos.)

I think you can 'import' non-Steam games into Steam. Warehouse is 30% off at the moment so I guess Steam at $70 is 'normal' price in Australia. Screenshots are handy to share you're adventures in Steam rather than Snapmatics via Social Club.

Anyway, very happy you got across in time and we can finally play together!

its funny how many comments there are on that page. a lot more than for any of the original gta2 map projects. it shows how big the difference in sizes of communities are.
