Updates to STY Tool by Delfi/JernejL
Ideas for Sty Tool, as this seems the current best/only place for them: Support the command line. So if I double-click a .sty file, it actually opens that file instead of just starting the tool. Re-write the retarded "Yes/No/Cancel" message box about importing tiles with different palettes...

Re: GTA2 Game Hunter v1.5 - work in progress
Alt + Number is not used by any web browser It's used by FireFox. Not that I'm voicing for or against it, just saying. That isn't the case on Windows. Did you get confused between Alt and Ctrl perhaps? FireFox as it is by default is a bad example to follow. How so? The developers of Firefox (indeed...

Re: Tiny Tiny Town
It seems you removed a some important history. Such as where Elypter gave me permission to branch his project. Hopefully that information isn't gone forever... Don't rewrite history! I could have created a separate topic and cut down leftover entries myself, if this was necessary. Indeed, I'd alread...

Thanks for such thorough and open work, Lantyz. I used your positions to set up my tests for Tiny Tiny Town Arena version.

Re: SCR decompiler
Is there any practical use to a .scr decompiler? All fan-made levels start from scratch, with a .mis source code. So the only levels it would give us new information for are the originals. And we don't need any more information about those, do we? I can see the challenge has excited you. Reminds me ...

Re: GTA2 Game Hunter v1.5 - work in progress
Tab Shortcuts GH follows the best ones used by web browsers. Alt + Number is not used by any web browser, I think Sektor added it because some IRC client uses Alt instead of Ctrl . ( Ctrl is more consistent with the native Ctrl + Tab and Ctrl + Shift + Tab shortcuts.) Function keys would be harder ...

Tiny Tiny Town Arena
Get it here: Tiny Tiny Town Arena . This is based on Elypter's Tiny Tiny Town . But it uses arena-style weapons and respawn points, along with lots of map refinements . Re: Golden Lap - Betatests
The test version of Macau Race now has more of the coastline roughed out. South-east area has my experiment for a cable-stayed bridge design. Other GTA2 map makers might find it interesting. I changed direction of outside square to anti-clockwise, like Indianapolis. Main street circuit is still cloc...

Re: Tiny Tiny Town
Elypter, glad you appreciated the advice and took it in the way it was meant. 8-) I think you can delete the attachments which are old when you edit your first message. Saves confusion about which version people should download. I would expect something in the structure of the .scr could be used to ...

Re: Tiny Tiny Town
You've certainly taken some size out of it, whilst keeping faithful to the original. Who'd have thought Tiny Town could be any smaller! Seems you are halving all the big open spaces and then adjusting the roads and buildings to suit. That's a good approach which should work well, if done with enough...

Re: Tiny Tiny Town
Even if cars don't spawn there, they can still drive there. And you need cars spawning outside of player respawn points, otherwise you'll get the dreaded "no cars bug." Also, cop cars should have access to all "public" areas of the level to make them chase you properly. You can u...

Macau, Monaco & Suzuka Race
Featuring the main route with kerbs, water and pit lane. It uses the lowest possible ground level togive you maximum viewing distance. There are long, fast sections with sequences of flowing corners between them. The rich scenery of bridges, trees, skyscrapers and grandstands for Macau and Monaco wo...

Re: Scripts of Tiny Town, Hidden Surprise and Face Off
I didn't realise the start positions varied with number of players. We are still learning new things about GTA2, a decade later! Are the respawn times for the powerups correct? It seems you've set the minimum to be 1 frame shorter than than the maximum. In bil.mis they are the same value: GENERATOR ...

Re: GTA2 Game Hunter v1.5 - work in progress
I think it would be worth giving GH1.5 a tiny bit of logic for gta2.exe swapping. So people can swap between 1.5 and 1.4x without having to backup and copy files so much. You might say "but they could write a batch file to do that". Sure, but it would be less effort overall if GH 1.5 did t...
