Ok, going to ask Kamil about this.
Ugh, it's just the thing that it annoys me spending more time for the things arround than for the actual work. Not (yet) the case but you know what i mean.
Ben, am i allowed to include a picture of one of your maps that i made myself?

Re: Vike's enhanced GTA2

Re: Map previewimages for gamehunter
i understand it with the map package but these are just generated images. come on. It wouldnt have been much more work to generate them all myself than looking up the image for each individual gmp but i didn't see the point.

Re: fully equipped gta2
I do not want to steal anybodies work. With such a big map pack it should be self-explanatory that i do not claim having made them myself. One the one hand i just wanted to make the start for newcomers as easy as possible. And include maps that only not played because nobody has it. On the other han...

collision info for shrink-slopes. What is that? :o i mean those half or quarter sized blocks used for walls and chimneys. it would be best if that could be written into a .mis file in a special area that is marked eg by //<? & //?> Why special area? I am writing it in the place you choose, so y...

Re: Map previewimages for gamehunter
most of the maps are those which you also see there: http://gtamp.com/GTA2/maps/ or http://www.gta2.unl.pl/polish_ver/nmm-dm.htm there is no general style. I think such job would by not that worth doing anyway because that could maybe done by trademarks mapeditor (semi)automatically in the future. a...

Map preview images for GH
Preview Image Pack by Elypter description: This is a package of images of all gta2 maps i know which consists of images i collected from the great map sites and some that i made myself. It will provide a preview image for all(known) maps that don't have one included and that way allow it to view a p...

Modified DMA editor
Years ago i made a slightly modified version of the original dma editor. i rearranged some user interface elements, added names to the slopelist and some other minor tweaks that i cannot remember after that time. I only used reshacker, so don't expect wonders, i wasn't able to solve the tilebug. Tho...

Re: TradeMark's GTA2 Map Editor (0.5.32) (Only zone editor a
My suggestion for development targets: first implement things that are not possible with the dma editor and mean much work with usual tools. Eg: -placing objects, cars, player start positions, weapons, collision info for shrink-slopes. it would be best if that could be written into a .mis file in a ...

Re: necromancing my 3 year old abandoned zombie-project
Thanks a alot. The water tiles should have been lava, but you're right, it isn't easy to see. At least as for now the blood in water solution is better. The zombie gang works fine. But i guess that, if working without crashes, i would also add some zombie bots. Afaik it isn't possible to slow down g...

Re: necromancing my 3 year old abandoned zombie-project
thanks. I tried it out but unfortunately it crashes the game. But as i tried i saw that i astonishingly had something almost working. I guess i copied something from another script and modified it. I did it with some chasing bots (only small amount for testing). It looks promising but after some res...

necromancing my 3 year old abandoned zombie-project
I wanted to make a zombie map. What i made until now is the map (on the screenshot). As you see it is based one the downtown church. I remember that i searched for a solution to make a punching gang that could kill you. Or any other script that can emulate zombies. Maybe someone can help me with this.

Re: GTA2 Game Hunter - ideas and suggestions
the discussion was only about day/night
i didn't say how the entries should be handled. day/night could only mean that this map is playable/looks good at night.
I don't see why the rest should be bad.

Re: TinyGTA - portable minimalistic zeroconfig GTA2 - only 5
(My reply is in the same order as the points you made) it isn't hard but it's much "hard"er than almost nothing, they don't know->so they don't know which are best for mp, what's the difference between an exe and a zip with exes in it? btw you can extract an sfx without launching it, 7zip ...

Re: fully equipped gta2
originally i wanted to use a php script to generate the package but none of the freehosters that i know(and still exist) allow cli which would be required to use 7zip. The other option is a *.zip archive. But most hosters have a size limit for edited files. this way updating would be relatively easy...

Re: TinyGTA - portable minimalistic zeroconfig GTA2 - only 5
18 vs 5 MB is not relevant for storing but it is relevant for downloading, since not everyone has highspeed-dsl its not only small but its also easy to run, not only for people who already know gta2 but also for complete noobs. If you have ever been on a lanparty you know how long it takes to get a ...
